According to Variety, director Dan Trachtenberg—known for Predator: Badlands—is developing an animated film called Freddy the 13th for Paramount. The movie is based on a graphic novel featuring Freddy Vanwinkle, a hapless thirteenth-born son whose misfortune defines him. Though the title sounds frightening, Paramount plans a wholesome, PG-rated comedy that focuses on laughs rather than scares.
