Scoop: Bobby Pulido headlined school benefit with registered sex offender
politics
According to Axios, Democratic congressional candidate Bobby Pulido, a Grammy-winning Tejano musician, performed at a Texas middle school benefit concert in May twenty eighteen with accordionist Frankie Caballero, a registered sex offender who had completed a prison sentence for sexual contact with an eight-year-old. The event had children in the audience. Pulido claims he was unaware of Caballero's criminal record, but Axios found evidence of possible knowledge, including Pulido's own statements calling Caballero 'a bad man,' and testimony from Tejano musicians that the accordionist's criminal history was widely known in their community.
