Fontainebleau forest near Paris hit by 'very virulent' wildfire

A fast-moving wildfire has scorched roughly eight hundred hectares of the Fontainebleau forest south of Paris, with France deploying two firefighting aircraft as crews worked to contain the blaze. According to France 24, officials described the fire on Monday as very virulent, and it forced partial closures of the A6 motorway during a busy summer holiday weekend amid an intense heatwave.
