The Supreme Court declined to hear a capital case from Texas. According to NPR, experts from both the defense and the state determined Victor Saldaño was not eligible for execution under laws that protect people with intellectual disabilities. With the Supreme Court's refusal to intervene, he is now likely to face execution anyway.
