Sherpa left for dead on Everest tells his story

Boing Boing tells the story of a Sherpa guide known as "Hillary" Dawa Sherpa, who was presumed dead high on Mount Everest. His family had already begun performing funeral rites when a cleanup crew discovered him alive, crawling near the Khumbu Icefall, the treacherous stretch of shifting ice above base camp. Now recovered, he's speaking publicly about being left behind on the mountain.
