Lindsey Graham’s sister appointed to serve rest of Republican’s Senate term

South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster has appointed Darline Graham to fill the Senate seat left by her brother, Republican Lindsey Graham, who died on Saturday after a sudden illness. The Guardian reports that McMaster made the choice after President Trump recommended her for the role. Announcing the appointment, the governor said Lindsey had looked after his little sister in years past, and that it was now his honor to ask her to finish his work.
