The Guardian reports that actor Sam Neill has died at the age of seventy-eight. Paying tribute, acclaimed filmmaker George Miller called him comprehensively an amazing person, someone who lived life very fully and with an enormous amount of wisdom. Miller noted that while Neill was at heart a Kiwi, he had a significant influence on Australian cinema and on the global film industry.
