Hundreds of Peruvians name child 'Haaland' as World Cup reaches registry offices

Euronews reports that hundreds of Peruvian parents are naming children after Erling Haaland, the Norwegian striker. Civil registries show four hundred sixty-eight Peruvians now share his surname, with ninety-one children bearing his full name. While Haaland's made quite an impression on Peru's birth certificates, Messi and Neymar remain the country's most popular football-inspired baby names.
