Spain and Gibraltar celebrate as border fence falls after signing of ‘historic deal’

As The Guardian tells it, Spain and Gibraltar are celebrating the fall of the last frontier fence in western Europe after signing a historic post-Brexit agreement. The treaty, signed in Brussels on Tuesday, eliminated border controls for residents, tourists, and the thousands of Spanish workers who cross into the British territory daily. The deal concludes more than four years of negotiations between the UK, Spain, Gibraltar, and the European Union.
