Peter Brook’s ‘The Mahabharata’ Lands on BFI Blu-ray in 4K Restoration

Peter Brook's nineteen eighty-nine adaptation of The Mahabharata is arriving on BFI Blu-ray on August tenth with a new four K restoration. Per Variety, the release features the middle triptych cut at three hundred thirty-two minutes—one of three versions the director created, bridging his three hour theatrical edit and six hour television version. This newly restored film brings the epic adaptation to home video audiences.
