Two animation studios—Toonz Media Group from India and Tokyo's Supersub LLC—are collaborating on an animated documentary about Japanese sake. Called 'The Taste of Water,' the film will explore the history, culture, and future of sake. Directed by Riki Ohkanda and executive produced by Ryo Nakajima, the project was announced at the Annecy Animation Film Festival. According to Variety, this marks a cross-continental partnership bringing together Indian and Japanese animation talent to dive into one of Japan's most iconic cultural traditions.
