More than 500 Rohingya vanished at sea - what happened?

More than five hundred Rohingya have vanished at sea, BBC News reports. Two boats carrying an estimated five hundred thirty people disappeared after leaving Myanmar on June twenty-ninth. The Rohingya, a persecuted Muslim minority in Myanmar, have for years attempted dangerous sea crossings to flee the country.
