Stephen Chow is returning to action-comedy with Kung Fu Soccer, more than twenty years after Shaolin Soccer. The China-Hong Kong co-production follows a women's football team competing in a martial arts tournament. Encore Films has secured worldwide theatrical distribution rights outside Mainland China for the film, according to Variety.
