China ‘strongly dissatisfied’ with nationalisation of British Steel

The UK moved this week to bring British Steel into public ownership, a decision that follows fifteen months of government intervention to prevent the closure of its Scunthorpe steelworks and protect four thousand jobs. According to The Guardian, China's Ministry of Commerce has expressed strong dissatisfaction with the nationalization, saying it dealt a severe blow to Chinese companies' confidence in investing in the UK.
