After a (now formerly) pro-Kremlin blogger criticized Putin in March, he spent a month in a psychiatric hospital. Now he faces two more months in pretrial detention.

Moscow's Basmanny District Court has ordered blogger Ilya Remeslo into two months of pretrial detention. According to his defense attorney, he faces charges of spreading false information about the Russian army. The case stems from posts Remeslo published in March criticizing Putin over the war, the economy, censorship, and suppression of the opposition. After those posts appeared, he was placed in a psychiatric hospital for a month. Meduza reports that Remeslo, who built his reputation fighting opposition figure Alexei Navalny, has now become a critic of the government.
