Power, desalination plants hit in Kuwait
world
The confrontation between the United States and Iran over the Strait of Hormuz has spilled onto neighboring Gulf states. France 24 reports that on Saturday US Central Command carried out a seventh straight night of strikes on Iranian military and maritime targets, while Iran launched attacks of its own across the Gulf. The heaviest damage was reported at a water desalination plant in Kuwait, a critical source of drinking water for the region. According to France 24, the Gulf Cooperation Council has condemned Tehran's strikes on civilian sites as war crimes.
