Josh Kerr of Britain breaks 27-year-old world record in the mile

Britain's Josh Kerr has broken the men's mile world record, per NPR News. Kerr had announced his bid for the record months in advance and pulled off the feat in London. The record he surpassed had stood for twenty-seven years.
