US: Taco Bell removes lettuce after parasite outbreak

Taco Bell is pulling lettuce from its menu at many US locations after it was linked to a parasitic infection, France 24 reports. The culprit is cyclosporiasis, an intestinal illness spread through contaminated food or water, and this is now the largest such outbreak the country has recorded. No deaths have been reported, but ninety-four people have been hospitalized.
