Logansport, Indiana is home to a hand-carved carousel built around nineteen hundred. According to Atlas Obscura, the Dentzel Carousel features forty-three intricately carved animals and maintains its original brass ring tradition—ride the carousel and catch a ring, and you win a free spin. It's one of only three stationary Dentzel carousels left in America. Originally built in Fort Wayne, it was moved to Logansport in nineteen nineteen. In nineteen ninety-three, it underwent a full restoration that returned it to its original painted finish.
