Jennifer Finch, L7 Bassist and Tireless Indie-Rock Champion, Dies After Battle With Brain Cancer

Jennifer Finch, the bassist, singer and songwriter for the veteran indie-rock band L7, has died after a battle with an aggressive form of brain cancer. Variety reports she passed away Saturday, according to a statement from the band's rep, and was fifty-nine. A well-known presence on the indie-rock scene of the nineteen nineties, Finch earlier in her career played alongside Courtney Love.
