Thames Water creditors prepare for legal fight over possible nationalisation

Thames Water, Britain's biggest water company, is facing a severe financial crisis with twenty-one billion pounds in debt. The Guardian reports that a consortium of one hundred institutional investors holding seventeen billion pounds of that debt is pursuing a rescue bid. The creditors say they're open to greater public control, but they're also hiring litigation specialists and preparing for a potential legal battle, as the government is reportedly considering temporary nationalization of the company.
