Heading for the North Pole on Tara Polar Station's first expedition

Per Euronews, Tara Polar Station has departed from the French port of Lorient to begin a yearlong Arctic expedition. The floating laboratory will drift with the pack ice across the Arctic Ocean, gathering data on ocean biodiversity and the impacts of climate change in the region.
