Australia's Home Affairs department is asking survivors of domestic and family violence to prove their relationships with their abusers were genuine. Senior solicitor Kristie Mellor reports that the Immigration Advice and Rights Centre receives around eighteen new inquiries each week from victim-survivors seeking guidance.
