US bombs Iran for ninth consecutive night as Hormuz tensions escalate

Al Jazeera English reports that the United States has bombed Iran for a ninth consecutive night, with tensions rising around the Strait of Hormuz. Iranian media describe blasts in cities at both ends of the country, from Tabriz in the far north to Chabahar in the far south. The Strait of Hormuz is the narrow waterway at the mouth of the Gulf through which a large share of the world's seaborne oil passes.
