New UK PM to keep 'moving towards closer EU ties', analyst says

According to Tim Bale, a politics professor at Queen Mary University of London, the new UK prime minister Andy Burnham is expected to keep pursuing closer ties to the European Union, much as his predecessor Keir Starmer did. However, Bale says Burnham isn't likely to push for rejoining the EU's single market or customs union.
