Strategic move by Magyar as he picks chess prodigy for president

Hungary's Prime Minister Péter Magyar plans to nominate Judit Polgár, regarded as the greatest female chess player in history, to become the country's next president, The Guardian reports. The role is largely ceremonial. Magyar says Hungary needs a leader all citizens can be proud of, and Polgár's name, he notes, has been synonymous with talent and perseverance for decades.
