This leadership reshuffle comes after Ukraine's defense minister, Mykhailo Fedorov, was dismissed on July fifteen—a move that sparked ongoing protests. Fedorov attributed his departure to conflicts with Syrsky, and though Syrsky denies the dispute, Zelensky is now weighing whether to replace the armed forces commander he previously refused to fire.
