Nicaragua’s president says country will not hold any more elections

The Guardian is reporting that Nicaragua's president, Daniel Ortega, says his country will hold no more elections. The eighty-year-old leader, who has been in office since two thousand seven, is explicitly stating the move is to prevent the opposition from gaining power. He says he'll work with his controlled congress to pass new laws that would, in his words, 'build a wall' against the opposition.
