On the run for 20 years, most-wanted fugitive caught hiding as a biotech exec

Ars Technica reports that one of Rhode Island's most-wanted fugitives has been arrested in New York after more than twenty years on the run, much of it apparently spent working as a biotech executive. The man known professionally as Richard Graydon turned out to be Ronald Fischer, a seventy-year-old former anesthesiologist once licensed in Rhode Island and Massachusetts, who vanished partway through his trial in two thousand five on a charge of first-degree sexual assault. He had been accused of raping a woman during a date on his yacht. California-based Immix Biopharma disclosed in a Securities and Exchange Commission filing Monday that Graydon was terminated the previous Friday, for what the company described only as reasons unrelated to his activities there.
