Venezuela’s Maduro gets June 2027 trial date in US drug-trafficking case

Nicolás Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores will go on trial on U.S. drug trafficking charges beginning June first, twenty twenty-seven, according to The Guardian. Both have pleaded not guilty to the charges, with federal judge Alvin Hellerstein setting the trial date during a Manhattan hearing this week. The trial marks one of the most consequential criminal cases in recent history.
