U.S. company ReconCraft to build Ukraine’s Magura sea drones under first-of-its-kind license
world
Meduza reports that ReconCraft, a U.S. company that builds boats for American special operations forces, has signed the first-ever agreement to manufacture Ukraine's Magura sea drones under license. Magura is an unmanned vessel capable of launching aerial drones, clearing mines, and detecting underwater targets — Ukrainian intelligence says these drones have already helped down helicopters and sink Russian military ships. ReconCraft plans to produce hundreds of drones annually, scaling to thousands, though each costs up to five hundred thousand dollars. The agreement also grants ReconCraft access to the software and control technology developed by Uforce, the Ukrainian company that created the system.
