European Commission Approves Paramount-Warner Bros. Merger

Variety reports that the European Commission approved the Paramount Skydance and Warner Bros. Discovery merger on Wednesday, removing one of the few remaining obstacles to closing the one hundred eleven billion dollar deal. As a condition of approval, Paramount has agreed to cancel its film distribution partnership with Universal in Europe within the next thirteen months.
