Ukrainians welcome new army chief but seek return of fired defence minister

Ukraine has a new army chief in Mykhailo Drapaty, whose appointment soldiers and civilians have welcomed, according to France 24. But the welcome comes with a significant caveat: many in the country want the previous defence minister, Mykhailo Fedorov, restored after his sudden dismissal sparked the largest war-related protests since Russia's two thousand twenty-two invasion.
