Over 5,800 excess deaths recorded in France during the June heatwave

France counted at least five thousand seven hundred sixty-four excess deaths during last month's record-breaking heatwave, according to Euronews. That makes it the country's deadliest heat event since 2003. Euronews reports the figure comes from national health data on the June heat.
