Researchers have developed a fluoride-free gel that could repair tooth enamel — something your body cannot naturally regrow once it's damaged. Per ScienceDaily, the gel fills tiny cracks and draws calcium and phosphate from your saliva to create a new mineral layer that matches healthy enamel. It was inspired by proteins that guide enamel formation in infancy.
