France : Wildfire sweeps through 2,000 hectares near tourist hotspot

A wildfire is tearing through pine forests in southwestern France, near the popular tourist destination of Arcachon. France 24 reports that nearly twelve thousand people, including tourists staying at campgrounds, have been evacuated. The blaze, which broke out on Thursday, has swept across some two thousand hectares of woodland.
