Runway launches AI model router as generative media gets crowded

Runway is repositioning itself as generative media infrastructure. On Thursday, the startup launched Runway Media Router through Runway Dev, providing API access to third-party image, video, and audio models, TechCrunch reports. Rather than competing as a model company, Runway is betting on becoming the infrastructure layer in an increasingly crowded market.
