A Train Departure Board For The Home

As Hackaday tells it, a train enthusiast built a home version of the departure boards you see at stations. The project uses a Raspberry Pi—the one-gigabyte model—hooked up to RGB LED matrices pulling real-time schedule data from the Rail Data Marketplace. Each matrix displays a hundred twenty-eight by sixty-four pixels, and stacking them creates a sizable, readable display.
