Justice Dept. drops 'New York Times' subpoenas under pressure from judge

The Justice Department has withdrawn subpoenas demanding grand jury testimony and phone records from New York Times journalists, according to NPR News. A federal judge raised sharp questions about the subpoenas Thursday, and the government subsequently agreed to drop them.
