Ghanaians ask ICC to investigate xenophobic violence in South Africa

Two Ghanaian nationals have asked the International Criminal Court to open a preliminary investigation into attacks on foreign nationals in South Africa, RFI English reports. They argue the violence could amount to crimes against humanity. The petition comes as Ghana's president renewed his call on Thursday for the African Union to address the ongoing unrest.
