Wildfires hound Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco

Deadly forest fires have been tearing across Algeria, Morocco, and Tunisia for more than a week, France 24 reports. An ongoing heatwave, parched conditions, and strong winds are feeding the flames while making them harder to fight. Firefighters throughout the region are struggling to contain blazes that have scorched vast stretches of land and forced people from their homes. As France 24 tells it, the combination of heat and wind continues to hamper efforts to bring the fires under control.
