6 killed, 26 injured in Ukrainian strike on Russian plant in Kirov, governor says

A Ukrainian strike on the Avitek military plant in Kirov killed six people and injured twenty-six others on the morning of July twenty-fourth, Kirov Governor Alexander Sokolov says. President Volodymyr Zelensky said Ukrainian forces had hit one of the city's most important military enterprises, which Ukraine says produces anti-aircraft guided missiles. Per Meduza, the strikes were among the most extensive Ukraine has launched against Russian regions in the past year, with forces also hitting Wildberries warehouses in St. Petersburg, the Leningrad region, and Simferopol and sparking large-scale fires.
