Russian forces dropped two air bombs on the city of Sloviansk, in Ukraine's Donetsk region, on the afternoon of July 24, Meduza reports, citing the head of the regional administration. Five people were killed and nine others wounded. The strikes damaged ten private homes, a business, and the building housing Latvia's honorary consulate, though the consul himself was unhurt. Latvia's foreign minister, Baiba Braže, said she had briefed European Union and NATO counterparts on the attack.
