Firefighters struggle to contain Madrid wildfires, as more than 160,000 evacuated in France and Spain

Southern Europe is gripped by catastrophic wildfires. BBC News reports that Madrid authorities are facing what they call the worst fire in the region's history, while French firefighters battle a separate blaze heading towards Bordeaux. More than one hundred sixty thousand people have been evacuated across the region.
