‘No time to waste’: Greece bids for Mount Olympus to be included on Unesco list of world heritage sites

Greece is formally seeking UNESCO World Heritage status for Mount Olympus. Per The Guardian, officials have advocated for the designation for more than forty years for Greece's highest peak at two thousand nine hundred eighteen meters. Legendary as the home of the ancient Greek gods, the mountain holds profound cultural and historical significance to Greek heritage.
