Guterres arrives in Syria in first official visit by a UN chief in 17 years

UN Secretary-General António Guterres has arrived in Syria for talks with President Ahmed al-Sharaa, Al Jazeera says. It's the first visit by a UN chief in seventeen years — al-Sharaa was removed from UN Security Council sanctions just last year.
