California landlord fights law meant to help low-income renters

A Sacramento property manager is suing California over its ban on housing discrimination against Section eight tenants, CalMatters reports. Tower Bridge Property Management and its owner claim the state's required unit inspections violate their Fourth Amendment rights against unreasonable searches. Similar legal challenges have emerged in other states, including New York, where an appeals court recently struck down comparable protections.
