Sony Pictures Invests $100 Million in Cosm, Shared-Reality Venue Owner

According to Variety, Sony Pictures Entertainment has invested one hundred million dollars in Cosm, an entertainment technology company that operates immersive dome theaters across the U.S. Sony led the Series C funding round and takes a minority stake in the company. Sony CEO Ravi Ahuja is joining Cosm's board. The investment represents Sony's strategic bet on immersive entertainment venues as a growth opportunity.
