Meet the robots programmed by kids to speak their Indigenous languages

Per NPR News, a twelve-year-old in Michigan is programming robots to speak Anishinaabemowin, an endangered Native American language — with help from mentor Danielle Boyer. As the young coder learns electrical circuitry and programming, he's building robots that can preserve his tribal language. With many Indigenous languages facing extinction, his project offers one community a high-tech path toward keeping their heritage alive.
