France fire situation 'remains very unfavourable' says interior minister

Southwestern France's wildfires remain out of control, according to France 24. Interior Minister Laurent Nunez said Sunday the situation in Gironde is "very unfavourable" after another rough night battling the blazes. Nearly five thousand personnel are on the fire lines, including two thousand five hundred firefighters, a Swiss firefighting team, fifteen hundred military members, and around twelve hundred police.
